Boo Ya!! Even on Peaches
I made a Peach/Ginger Mead a while back, (or Melomel/Metheglin if you want to be a jerk), and I tried just about everything before trying Super Kleer. I would have tried it sooner but worried about it's Japanese Game Show name, and I still worry about the the possible illiteraracy of its creator. Bottom line; the Mead cleared in 2 days. I was amazed, but let it sit for another week and it cleared even further. When I bottled it I made smarmy comment to a friend that I had to do so while it still had some color. It is amazing stuff!! I recently made a peach ice wine and reserved the Isinglass it came with for a cask ale, and went straight for the Super Kleer, and had the exact same result. This stuff is awesome,

Wonderful fining product
Handling both positive and negatively charged items in the wine makes this a great product. I use it exactly as the instructions tell you to and it always clears wonderfully.

I've used it with 3 batches now and all of them have cleared up excellently! I'll be using this on every brew I make.

A nice fining product
This is a great product for clearing meads. I don't make a lot of mead, but bought it on recommendation from a friend and it has been spectacular. Used it on five meads now and in 24 hours you have a crystal clear beverage. Make sure that if you are going to back-sweeten the mead with honey you do so (and stabilize) before you use the finings - or you'll still end up with haze (whups).

NB Rocks!
Works fairly fast and good. Received my order and had small problem. Phone call to NB and replacement sent in about 4 days, along with a free beer glass. Now, that is customer service with a 5 star rating. Can't wait to place another quickly enough.

Can this product be used with hard cider? If so, at what point should it be added to the batch?
A shopper on Jul 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I see no reason that this product would assist in clearing hard cider. the product works on establishing positive and negative charges on particle in the liquid ad causes them to fall out of solution. I would wait until fermentation is complete and first rack of off gross lees completed.
Can I use this immediately after cold crashing? Is it temperature sensitive to any degree?
Gary G on Apr 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I would suggest using before cold crashing to insure the wine is clear of all sediments. it is best used at room temp of 70deg.
Is it a bad idea to use this when bottle conditioning? Will this product clear out all the yeast also?
A shopper on Jul 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This will remove yeast, so if you want to use it and then bottle condition you need to add more yeast.
My beer finishes its 2 week fermentation this week, however I was going to let it go one more week since I am going away. Should I add the Super Kleer this weekend before going away? or wait until I come back? Will it do any harm to the finishing stage of fermentation leaving the Super Kleer in longer?
T Z on Jul 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It would not hurt to leave the clarifier in longer, though you may want to add it later to allow the yeast to finish up in the beer.
