Brew Day is Fun. Fermentation Isn’t.
Every home-brewer knows Brew Day is the best part of brewing your own beer. But then comes fermentation and bottling. Which means you’ve got, at best, 4 weeks worth of work ahead of you including bottling. Days spent lifting, sanitizing, siphoning, conditioning, worrying, and waiting. Meanwhile, the process presents risks like contamination, oxidation, and sub-optimal temps that could turn your craft beer into crap beer. That is, until Vessi™ Fermentor.
Welcome to Fermentopia.
Go from 4 weeks of worry and work, to a mere 7 days* with minimal effort – all while exerting more control over the entire fermentation and finishing process.
Vessi™ Fermentor stays pressurized the entire time, so that what's inside stays carbonated. Which means no need to bottle condition or force carbonate your beer, cutting days out of your timeline. Plus, the heating and cooling system helps reach an optimal fermentation and finishing environment faster.
Once the worts in the tank, there’s no more transferring. In fact, no siphoning, lifting, or jackets, either. Everything you need is in one, convenient tank, with everything on hand to rule the fermentation and finishing process.
Vessi™ Fermentor helps you reduce key risks that make good beer go bad, in a more controlled environment. Precise temperature and pressure control, and a construction that's designed to minimize exposure to light and oxygen, keeping your batch safe. Which, when it's all said and done means a better beer.
*Based on a light blonde ale beer at 3.3% ABV and use of clarification agent
How it Works1. Transfer Wort, Pitch Yeast
With Vessi ™ Fermentor, you'll start by transferring your cooled wort into the sanitized tank. Once you’ve checked the specific gravity and pitched your yeast, attach the pressure lid. Now you’re ready to set the specific pressure and temperature to ensure optimal conditions for fermentation. Then, sit back and relax while the yeast does its thing. If your beer requires secondary fermentation, it’s time to go for round two. If not, on to the dispensing.
2. Clear Sediment
Once the yeast is finished fermenting, you can clear the sediment from the bottom of the tank using the Sediment Removal System, which transfers sediment out of the tank without opening the unit or depressurizing. This is also a good time to add any aromas or flavors using the Liquid Injection System - designed to force your additions into the tank, while minimizing exposure to light and oxygen.
3. Dispense—Pour, Bottle, or Keg
Your beer is ready! For instant gratification, pour straight from the tap.
Need easy-to-share and transport options? The Vessi™ Bottle Filler allows you to transfer to bottles or a keg using the bottling and kegging ports. Once they're filled, they're ready to drink (no bottle conditioning or keg carbonation required).

4.7 / 5.09 ReviewsA game changer for the homebrewerI acquired by my Vessi as an Indiegogo funding contributor and must say that it has exceeded expectations in many ways even after one batch. The Vessi provides a homebrewer with exceptional control over the fermentation process in a relatively compact and attractive package that also serves your beer. It maintains a fairly constant temperature by heating or cooling as needed, ferments under pressure so the beer is naturally carbonated and ready to drink within a day of reaching the target gravity, and lets you remove trub without ever needing to "rack" the beer and exposing it to oxygen. The only flaw(s) that I ran into (hence 4 stars) was that 1) the beer is no longer cold, and 2) I don't have a good way to tell how much beer remains in the vessel. I suspect that the warm beer is a result of the fluid level getting below the cooling element - but I'm not really sure until I empty what's in there and do some testing.April 18, 2017Move over kegerator, here comes the Vessi!I too bought the Vessi as part of the Indiegogo campaign. So far this has exceeded my expectations. Not having to lug glass carboys around makes brewing much more fun. Setup and sterilization is easy. Cleaning the Vesey is much less stressful than cleaning glass carboys. Removing the traub while the Vessi is still under pressure is simple and only takes a few minutes. It is easily mobile on it's casters which makes moving it to an area for cleaning, filling, or serving a breeze. My temperature was controlled perfectly throughout the entire process which included cold crashing and 38 degree temperature for serving. I also purchased the bottling accessory which worked flawlessly. The engineering team has been fantastic about feedback and usage questions. Now if only it would clean and sterilize all my bottles too, then it would truly be incredible!April 23, 2017Works as promised with great customer serviceI just finished fermenting my first beer in the Vessi and it worked great. Temperature control was a breeze. Sediment removal work as advertised. As mentioned in another review, it can be a bit messy. As you are removing sediment from the vessel under pressure, I found it helps to apply a little upward pressure on the purge tank to keep it from blowing off, helping minimize any mess. I've also found cleaning and sanitizing to be easy as well. They have created useful YouTube videos that walk you through the whole process. They are worth a view.
I initially had issues with the unit holding pressure. Customer service was fast and helpful in getting me a new seal and clamp which solved my problems. They were quick to answer any questions and work with the engineers to find solutions.
The compact size and ease of use made it a good solution for me. I can highly recommend.May 13, 2017Amateur Homebrewer and VessiI can honestly highly recommended the Vessi! I am one of the original backers of this product through crowdfunding nearly a year ago and have been brewing with it for about four months now. So far I've brewed three perfect beers with it and my fourth will be going in later this week. What I love most about the Vessi is it's ability to heat and cool so that my yeast are always happy. With the all in one design it also provides and increadibly sterile invornment for the beer to ferment and be served from. The Vessi has renewed my passion for homebrewing!Coffee stout brewed with VessiMay 10, 2017Vessi RocksBasically pour on wort, set temp and pressure and forget about it.
Oh yea, it's simple to add flavors without fear of contamination.
And the valve to dismiss the sediment at the bottom works great. the batch I brewed had zero sediment in it. Just like a pour from the pub. Pretty huge head on my stout, had to wait 5 minutes to top off the glass. Just the way I like it.
No 5 star due to cleaning the lower valve after emptying the tank. It's a pain, but not outrageous. Highly recommended.June 16, 2017Purchased
3 months agoPitch to Pour IndeedTasted my first brew in this product last week. Holy Cow is this cool! I let it ferment at a secret temperature profile hitting key temperatures each day of the fermentation process and for diacetyl rest. Naturally carbonated and slugged out the sediment for some yummy clear Belgian wit out of the tap.
Only thing is the sediment removal system can be a bit messy if doing more then 1 turn at a time.May 10, 2017An elegant way for commercial quality fermentation at homeThe build quality is very high and solves the exact problem that was keeping my home brew from jumping to the next level. This device along with the add-on counter pressure bottler has basically turned my garage into a small batch micro-brewery. I thought there would be a steep learning curve to using this, but nope...I'm enjoying my first batch right now (a West Coast IPA) and it is glorious and competition worthy.May 10, 2017This thing is awesome!Let's get the minuses out of the way first. Hello....it's pricey. Also, the sediment removal system ball thingy requires complete disassembly between batches. It's a minor pain.
It's totally worth it though because clearing trub and harvesting yeast is super easy while minimizing waste. I mean, it ferments, it carbs, it pours, it bottles (like a pro, I might add but needs an accessory for this function). The temp controls are spot on and less fussy than a glycol chiller.
Some folks argue that it's dumb to have your primary fermenter tied up doing pours, but it's that flexibility that makes it great. I'll cold crash, do some pours, then bottle the rest. Most home brewers will be using multiple fermenters regardless.
Last thing, it's heavy duty high quality. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.July 13, 2017Purchased
1 month agoMinor hick-up on a great machine. The quality of the machine is fantastic and the ease of use so far is as easy as the videos on it. My first batch is a lagering Bohemian Pilsner, fermenting at 9psi. Almost ready to give the sediment and yeast trap a go. The system was delivered with a failed gas regulator, but a warranty one is in transit. I had to cobble the gas connection on to a regulator I had for my draft system. If half stars were available, l would provide a 4.5 in lieu of 4 star rating.New home next to the liquor cabinet.July 20, 2017Purchased

I think they just have plans to make them at the current 5 gallon size, but you could contact Whirlpool for more information, if they plan to expand. Cheers! Can you dry hop?BEST ANSWER: Yep, what Jeremy said. I tend to not pressurize until immediately after my dry hop additions. Saves CO2 and negates risk of autolysisCan i force carbonate with CO2 using this system?BEST ANSWER: This system allows force carbonation or you can let it naturally carbonate during the fermentation process. How much beer does it make per batch?BEST ANSWER: The Vessi is designed for 5 gallon batches, but the overall capacity of the conical portion is 8 gallons to allow for krausen buildup.what are the specifications on temperature control and how is this accomplished?BEST ANSWER: First off this is a fantastic machine. I am lagering a Bohemian Pilsner at 52 degrees for my first try.
The system is a double walled refrigerated set-up that can achieve low 30's for cold crashing or room temps for normal fermentation. You can ferment at atmosphere or you can set a pressurized fermentation for the beers recommended CO2. Both are achieved after a CO2 purge of the vessel and gas blanket are set on the beer to eliminate oxygen exposure. Is this Model WFH1000FSS00 ?
