Perfect yeast for Bavarian Wheat.
Perfect yeast for Bavarian Wheat. Used in the mid 60s and up in the mid 70s. Both tasted great depending on what you like.

Great yeast...
...but use a blowoff tube. If you want (very) active fermentation, and a yeast you can feel/taste in your brew, this is a great choice.

Fantastic Yeast
A wonderfully full flavored yeast, I fermented below the recommended range for the yeast. 63 F, made for a very balanced flavor, whilst keeping the more estery flavors in check. Ordered two more for my weizenbock just now.

Good upgrade to the Bavarian Hefeweizen kit
Chose to upgrade to this yeast for my Bavarian Hefeweizen kit as recommended in many other reviews. 1st time using a smack pack since I am a relatively new home brewer. Was impressed with the results and will be using this strain every time I brew that kit which will probably be often since the results were outstanding and quick.

Why use anything else?
This makes everything easier during wort time. The inside level markings are marvelous when adding water. I use 5 gallon RO water, but then I am or was never sure how much additional water to add to obtain 6 gallons. The inside marking makes this super easy. ( I prefer 6 gallons to start, due to boil off) After transferring the wort, I can easily clean the inside by simply using my hand to rub accumulated debris off the inside. Drying is easy as I use a bottle tower, and simply put the brew kettle on it upside down. The handles make it easy to move, and are well insulated. ( no ouch that is hot comment) The handles are also handy for me to tie off my bags with my hops in them during boil time. Great product.

Very active fermentation
I have owned this for over a year now and love it. The quality is outstanding. It is very heavy gauge and I've never had a problem with stuff sticking/burning to the bottom. Thanks NB!

Great Yest
A great size for boiling up to a double batch, with no risk of boiling over disasters. And it was such a disaster that led me to this pot! The handles are solid and easy to hold. The only negative is that the inside surface has a brushed finish that is hard to clean, it would be better if it were smoother.

Best Wheat Yeast
I use this as my boil kettle for 5 gal extract and all grain beers. I've run 10-15 batches through it so far and have been happy with it. Very well built, solid handles, the lid actually fits decent and the 1 gal increment volume markings inside the kettle are nice. I'd buy it again!

Good upgrade to the Bavarian Hefeweizen kit
This brewpot is excellent. The bottom is thick, you get no scorch spots, spreads heat evenly. Plus, it looks awesome, and the gallon graduation marks make brew day a breeze. I love it, and am contemplating buying the 15 gallon version so I can move to 10 gallon batches. I'm proud to show my friends my brewpot!
