Product Details

This high-quality corker has all of the important features of a floor corker at an affordable price: locking bottle platform, iris jaws (plastic), and adjustable plunger depth. Works with 750 ml or 1.5 liter wine bottles. The feet are drilled out so you can bolt it down for more leverage.

Note: with careful adjustment of the plunger depth or an added spacer like a drilled rubber stopper, it is possible to correctly cork belgian bottles too.

Great machine
All new wine or beer makers should save a lot grief and get the Portuguese floor corker right away. I sure wish I would have.

Worth the investment
Corking a filled bottle of wine is one of life's little challenges. A wobble here or a slip there and all the wonderful anticipation of the finished wine (we have been waiting and will continue to wait, right?) disappears in the flood of frustration that follows. Do yourself a favor: if you bottle wine, get this corker. It works flawlessly and you might even be tempted to cork a few empties just for fun. We've plugged a hundred bottles or so with perfect results each time, and we look forward to thousands more. Enjoy.

Works Great! Very consistent results
I bought this a while ago, because I'm making Belgian beers for my wedding. I could not be happier with the results. It was very consistent and put the cork at the perfect depth. I would highly recommend this to anyone who's making beer or wine. It's the same result for half the price as the other floor corkers...unless of course you plan on making champagne.

Must have product
I can't say enough about this product. I have used for corking wine, mead and beers. It has worked flawlessly every time. The price can't be beat. I find hand corkers are inconsistent and this product produces the same finished result every time I have used it.

Awesome!
I like bottled beer especially (what comes in) Belgian bottles. I bought this to use on the 750ml Belgian beer bottles that I have saved over the last several years. I was also happy to find that it works on the smaller 355ml bottles too. This corker is well constructed and looks like it will last a lifetime. And as Michael Dawson demonstrates, it is oh-so easy to use.

A high quality durable piece of equipment
I love it when I find an elegantly-designed, well-built product that I know will last me a lifetime. This makes it so easy the cost seems well worth it to me after only the first time I used it to bottle a batch of mead.

No brainer
I spent a little extra on three devices to make bottling easier: The "Super Automatic" siphon valve, the "Avvinatore" bottle rinser, and this Portuguese floor corker. All available from N. Brewer... Bottling is mostly painless now, and after sterilizing I can get a 6 gallon batch bottled and corked in no time. The corker is worth every penny. Mine came mostly assembled but with no instructions, so I had to figure out how to bolt the cross piece to the main body in order to form a tripod. It was really simple, but I had to look at the photo to refresh my memory of what it's supposed to look like. One bolt holds it all together. Once assembled it is foolproof. Do remember to raise the handle to the full upright position to make it easier to remove the bottle after the cork is in.

Great for Belgian Beers
I was a little skeptical about ordering this corker to use on my first attempt at bottling a Belgian ale, but was pleasantly surprised at just how easy it was. I just bottled a 5 gal batch into 24 Belgian bottles, and am quite impressed at my first go-round. It'so so easy, and great to use the bigger bottles that I can't believe I didn't try this sooner! The corker feels sturdy, and I think it should last for years to come.My only complaint is that the screw that controls the depth of the corks could be a tad longer. I had to take care not to push the corks all the way in, or they would be a bit too far in for my liking... After a little practice, it wasn't a problem though. But all things considered, I'd definitely recommend this corker. It's a great product at a good price that will make my mediocre beer look like it was brewed by a pro!

Overall, it's worth it
I was skeptical about whether or not I'd need something like this to bottle my wine, but went for it after seeing so many positive reviews. It really does make the bottling process a little easier. Fast and consistent cork depth, and worth the investment.

Portuguese Floor Corker
this was the best investment I made. It was easy for me and my wife and we bottled and corked 30 bottles in minimum time and ease. Thanks for offering the corker. You guys are great. My go to supplier for my wine making hobby. This is my first batch, and can't wait to taste after a little aging. Cheers

Will this corker handle Champagne bottles and corks?
F L on Jan 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: i have not used it on champagne bottles but it works very well on regular wine bottles.
Can use this to cork Belgian bottle or would you recommend that I go with the Colonna corker instead
Tim C on Feb 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This will only work for cylindrical corks. The whole cork is compressed by an iris mechanism and then pushed through and into the bottle... the Belgian corks wouldn't pass through.
Will this cork 1.5 liter bottles or just 750 mL?

Is this a good option for use with synthetic corks? I know some corkers can create a crease in synthetic corks.
