Sunny Side Grapefruit Radler - Exclusive to Socks & Sandals Variety Pack
Brilliantly refreshing and thirst-quenching, Sunny Side Grapefruit Radler is the perfect beer for relaxing after any physical activity. Vivid notes of grapefruit beam through the flavor profile, all neatly wrapped up in a light, airy base beer modeled after the ever-classic pilsner style. Shining with a slightly hazy radiance and capped with a dazzling bright white foam, you will find very low bitterness and gleaming notes of twinkling grapefruit citrus aglow with effervescent carbonation.
Obi Ron's Wheat Beer
Obi Ron's Wheat is a perfect beer for the spring and summer months, but it goes down just as nicely any time of year. Brewed with nearly 50% white wheat and a dash of light crystal malt, the malt flavors are quite prominent and serve as a perfect backdrop for a modest hop charge. The choice of liquid yeast pairings works wonderfully to accentuate hop flavor with a heightened fermentation-derived ester profile, and a small Centennial dry hop step serves to really round out the aroma.
Very refreshing, and a popular lawnmower beer for beer snobs! "Spritzy" is a word often used to describe Kolsch. This pale, light-bodied golden ale is copyrighted by, brewed in, and named for the German city of Kön. Kölschbier is traditionally given a long, cold aging period like a lager, which makes for a very smooth and clean beer. A small dose of German Hallertau hops cuts the richness of the malt.
Bonus! Also included for a limited time is a free Northern Brewer Wallet Bottle Opener

I’ve brewed and bottled the kolsch and the wheat and both turned out great. Even using the ale yeast, the kolsch came out clean and fresh.
All three turned out great. Added 3+ lbs of cherries to the Obi Ron’s in secondary and was well received.
Nice refreshing beers with good flavor.
This was an amazing grouping of beer styles and was well received by all who partook. The kits were well packaged, as always, and arrived at my door two days earlier than expected. Although I have to question the sense of style (socks and sandals together... really?) the kits have never disappointed and I've always received amazing customer service! Keep up the great work Northern Brewer!
The only issue I have with the Grapefruit Radler is that it can't be sold by itself (at least at the time of this review). I had to correct this and buy the ingredients separately though because this was my wife's favorite of the three. The kit was missing the crystallized grapefruit, but one quick email to Northern Brewer and they had a replacement in the mail, free of charge, the next business day. **On a side note: even though I had to find the ingredients separately to make another batch of this without buying the entire variety pack again, Northern Brewer's site was simple enough to use that it honestly wasn't anything more than a minor inconvenience.**
The Kolsch was a particular favorite of mine and I'll definitely be making it again. It was a simple recipe, but the flavor was spot on what I expected, and desired, it to be.
The Obi Ron's Wheat was another great addition to this variety pack. I personally love wheat beers and this met what I needed in my life. Again, a simple kit that delivered exactly what it said it would. For those of you that don't like wheat beers, my father in-law (who self-claims that he has never found a wheat beer he likes) was in love with this one from the first glass. The keg was empty almost as soon as it was in the fridge.
The grapefruit radler came out perfect for a refreshing summer berr. Light with the grapefruit scent and smooth finish. This will be something to brew yearly. The Kolsch is a winner, the Wheat beer is fermenting but if it's like the others, I've got a new trio of beers to rely on during the best of summer.
