Wyeast 1272 American Ale II is fruitier and more flocculant than Wyeast 1056, slightly nutty, soft, clean, slightly tart finish.
This yeast strain has an apparent attenuation: 72-76%. Flocculation: high. Optimum temp: 60°-72° F
*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs will all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

I ordered this yeast to make an American Strong Ale, but it arrived dead as a door nail. I don’t know that it’s the fault of Northern Brewer, or maybe UPS let it sit too long in a warehouse.
It was okay, because I had a few sachets of dry yeast on hand (so it has. Evoke a Double India Pale Lager, instead).

Yeast did it’s job
Got a liquid yeast pack. Fully expanded in 2 hours of warmth and went right to work on my beer. Fully fermented and specific gravity was where it needed to be in 6 days. Kegged in 7 and drinking in 10

Good yeast
Good yeast, worked fine. It's a slap pack, and the inner bag was already punctured, so I was nervous about it. Clean.
