Brewmaster Brad's Notes: "Obi Ron's Wheat is a perfect beer for the spring and summer months, but it goes down just as nicely any time of year. Brewed with nearly 50% white wheat and a dash of light crystal malt, the malt flavors are quite prominent and serve as a perfect backdrop for a modest hop charge. The choice of liquid yeast pairings works wonderfully to accentuate hop flavor with a heightened fermentation derived ester profile, and a small Centennial dry hop step serves to really round out the aroma."

Not for me

I brewed/fermented according to the recipe. Temperatures were a little cool (60-65 deg F), however, I had good activity in the primary fermenter. I followed good cleaning processes as I had before. My first brew was fresh squished IPA, and it turned out great. This brew carbonated well but the final product has a "wangy" (not sweet) flat taste. I am not sure if maybe I missed something or if this brew just doesn't agree with my palate.

Not a good flavor at all

So far not so good. First tasting at 2 weeks the beer did not even look or act like beer, more like a soda, and when orange wedge was added it was a science experiment. They have aged better a bit, but still not a very pleasant beer to drink at the time.

Produces a decent representation of Oberon. Think it would have been closer without the optional dry hop addition. Would omit that if I buy again next summer.

Mediocre at best. I see why it was free

Good 2nd beer. Made mistakes but the flavor was still good.
