Order response

Northern Brewer has excellent response time. I have received every order in a very reasonable amount of time. I always order over $40 so I get free shipping. They do not cheap out and put it on the slow boat which I appreciate.

Works better as a shut off

The clamp is pretty light duty but works fine for shut off. It does not work so well to throttle flow because the ratchet mechanism has distinct places that it closes. Trying to throttle with this clamp either flows too much or flows too little. I have used it a couple of times. I would probably buy it again but wish it were a little heavier duty. For throttling by pinching the tubing I think a small pair of vice grips work better. I installed a valve on my pump that works a lot better for throttling and my need to shut off flow is not really needed now since there are other valves now installed in my system too. This clamp will likely now take up space in my brewing drawer.
