Fermentation Airlocks
Fermentation airlocks are essential tools for every homebrewer and winemaker. They allow CO2 to safely escape during active fermentation while preventing outside air, wild yeast, and bacteria from contaminating your batch. Whether you're brewing beer, making wine, fermenting hard cider, or experimenting with mead or kombucha, an airlock is your first line of defense.
Northern Brewer offers two of the most popular homebrew airlock styles:
- Bubbler Airlock – A classic one-piece design that makes a gratifying "bloop" sound as CO2 escapes. Easy to use and perfect for wine or secondary fermentations.
- Three-Piece Airlock – Easy to disassemble and clean, making it ideal for vigorous primary fermentations or use with fruit additions that may cause blow-off.
All airlocks are compatible with our full line of drilled rubber stoppers and bungs, making them a perfect fit for carboys, fermentation buckets, and more. Whether you're just getting started or upgrading your gear, Northern Brewer has the airlock you need for successful fermentation.
