Fill with water and insert in drilled stopper or bung to vent gases during fermentation. Includes body, piston, and vented cap. This airlock is easy to disassemble and clean out in the event of a blow-off.
I like this design because it seems easier on the cleaning after an overly aggressive fermentation.
These work well. I use them exclusively.
These airlocks are my go-to for all three of my carboys for wine. I've never had any problems with them, but because they're reasonably priced, I keep a couple extra on hand. Same thing with the spigots (have had one of those start to leak ).
