Cheap peice of junk
This capper broke after just a few dozen bottles and can't be fixed. Cheap plastic parts that can't take the pressure applied to the bottle cap.Don't even think about buying this one. I am also disappointed that NB even sells this item. I kind of expected they would have higher standards.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!!!!
Worst product I ever purchased from northern Brewer. Won't fully crimp, mechanism jams constantly. Hey northern Brewer, do us a favor, don't sell this junk anymore!

Brand new capper did not work.
Overall quality was poor and crimper failed to bend and crimp caps over bottle necks.

Works well but cheaply made. Won't last.
Worked well but cheaply made and fell apart quickly. Purchased this 6 months ago from N. Brewer and arrived with a defective crimping cap (bent and crimped). Not a problem since I had an old double wing capper that I'd been using for years and was able to swap caps. Once replaced was able to cap bottles with greater ease and speed than the old wing capper. However, 6 months later, the threads on the plastic retainer that holds the crimping cap in place shredded and now the entire unit is unusable because of a very cheap plastic tube. Fortunately still had my several year old wing capper (that cost about 1/4 of this one) and could finish the job.

minor update on previous post
To be fair I wanted to update my prior post from 5/9/2015. I was mistaken about the threads stripping after replacing the capper. In fact, the threads were slightly mismatched with the wing style capper. I started using this again with the original capper and it has held up well. I still have difficulty getting a clean crimp with lots of discards but it's useable and not as dire as I originally described. Still would not recommend.

Snapped into pieces
I really liked this for about a year; I might have bottled 200 gallons with this thing...but then the plastic collar attaching to the bell snapped yesterday. I don't understand why the piece with the most pressure isn't made of metal...I also don't understand why a plastic disposable tool cost over $40

We offer a one year warranty on any goods bought through us, and customer service is always happy to find creative solutions. Contact customer service about any issue to see if we can dream up a solution. The plastic part is breakable and needs to be handled gingerly. Thanks for the review!

poor quality
This capper broke in the middle of a 10 gallon batch. Do not waste your time and money. A one star rating is too high for this product

I can not cap more than one bottle without this jamming. It becomes jammed on the plastic stopper and the height no longer adjusts without removing it from the bench and setting on the ground to apply pressure. The plastic stopper stripped after the first bottle. Was this broke when I received it?
