How long should this age after bottling?
Haleigh T on Feb 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You can drink it right away but I like to let it stay in the bottle at least a month or so before opening . They recommend not going more than a year before opening. I just made a batch of this wine and I have opened a couple of bottles just to see how it tastes. I must say it's not bad but I will def let it she a little more before opening more.
Wine tatse to oakey. Anyway to fix it? Already bottled.
A shopper on Jan 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My best educated guess would be time in the bottle. Time in the bottle may soften the oak-like flavor. On the other hand, someone might suggest that with additional time in the bottle, the Okey flavor may intensify. I'd give it time to rest. In the mean time, make another wine.
What all comes in this kit?
C A on Mar 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: All of the ingredients that are needed to make the kit are included, but not corks, sanitizer, or other equipment. If you'd like to look at a detailed list, there is a link to the instructions on the "additional information" tab of this product on our website.

I have just finished my first batch of the Merlot reserve and I'm getting ready to bottle it, when I sample tasted , it almost has a faint taste of the metabisulfite. Will this taste go away with aging in the bottle or is there anything else I can do to decrease that flavor ?

Thank You
Derek Thompson
