MM2 Package

A heavy-duty, fully-adjustable all-purpose mill for homebrewers of all levels and batch sizes. Includes roller assembly, base, and steel hopper with 11 lb. capacity - just use a corded electric drill or add a 3/8" crank handle for a consistently perfect crush every time.

The MM2 boasts a double-roller configuration, with an adjustable gap spacing between the two rollers - this means you can set the gap tighter or coarser to dial in your efficiency and custom tailor the crush to suit your system, sparging or steeping method, and malt from batch to batch.

Roller Assembly: 6061 aluminum block frame with two 6" long x 1.5" dia. knurled steel rollers riding on SAE 841 oil- impregnated bronze bushings adjustable roller gap spacing with 0-0.070" range dual eccentric gap spacing adjusters, built from stainless steel to prevent galling 3/8" integral drive shaft w/3 flats for drill driving or a hand crank, 2" long outside frame 3/8" integral axles average throughput 6 lbs/min.

Hopper: heavy duty galvanized steel 9" overall height 11.5" x 12.75" at the top 11 lb. capacity Base: approx. 12 x 12" to fit over standard 5 or 6 gallon buckets radiused top edges and corners hand-routed grist window

MM3 Package

This is the mill if you're brewing large batches, or want to maximize mash efficiency at any volume. Heavy-duty triple-roller homebrew mill is designed for motorization (can be powered with a corded electric drill) and features an average throughput of 8 lbs./minute and adjustable gap spacing for fine-tuning your crush.

Why three rollers?

The MM-3 crushes all your grain twice, with one pass through the mill. It starts with a preliminary crush through the initial fixed gap between the top two rollers, and then ends with a pass through the second gap between the drive roller, and the bottom third roller. The initial pass slightly flattens the grain, and gets it ready for the next crush, that breaks apart the grains and loosens the starch with minimal husk damage.

Includes roller assembly, base, and steel hopper with 11 lb. capacity - just add a corded electric drill or a 3/8" crank handle for the ultimate pre-mash gristing experience.

Roller Assembly: 6061 aluminum block frame with three 6" long x 1.5" dia. knurled steel rollers riding on SAE 841 oil- impregnated bronze bushings .060"fixed primary gap, 0-0.065" fully-adjustable secondary gap dual eccentric gap spacing adjusters, built from stainless steel to prevent galling 3/8" integral drive shaft w/3 flats for drill driving, 2" long outside frame 3/8" integral axles average throughput 8 lbs/min.

MM3
Works great!

Love that thing
Lasts forever. My only complaint if I had to get picky would be to get the whole roller to adjust with a single knob rather than each side individually. But honestly, with a feeler gauge it takes about 45 seconds to adjust. Get or build the extensions from the beginning to do a full batch easily.

Monster Mill 3 Roller provides a consistent, easy to dial in grist. A+
I will be honest, this thing came with no instructions and to a not so mechanically inclined guy like me this proved a little challenging. After finding some pictures of the assembled mill and getting very personalized service from the company, I can honestly say this thing provides a consistent, easy to dial in grist. A+

grate mill
the mill works perfect . but took a minute to look at all the parts and figure it out with no instructions but looking at the picture on this site it was really simple. the adjustment seemed minimal but makes a big difference in the crush. very impressed went from about 75% to 85+ efficiency with just this new mill, with the autosparge i'm hoping to get 90% or better mash efficiency

Excellent mill, solid value, great crush
I purchased the Monster Mill MM2 kit, which includes the mill itself, hopper, and base. Assembly was simple and quick. The base fits nicely atop a standard bucket. With a drill attached, milling grains is easy and fast. I haven't yet had any trouble with the mill losing the gap setting. Do yourself a favor and get a power drill, as well as a gap tool to measure the gap setting, and you're golden. Very satisfied.

Well Made Mill
I'm very happy with the triple-roller mill. It gives a very efficient, complete crush while creating little dust. The husk is fully removed from the kernel. The key to this and other three-roller mills is that you will need a corded drill that is capable of generating high torque. Cheap drills will bind up and stop at speeds slow enough to feed grain into the rollers and turn way too fast to feed at high speeds. I use a 1/2" Hitachi drill rated at 9 amps and 650 in-lbs of torque. I just load up the mill and run the drill at relatively low speed. This gives great results.

Would the 3 roller do shelled corn?
M I on Dec 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hello Michael,

Thank you for choosing Northern Brewer! I would not advise it, the mill is made for malted grains which are much softer and easier to crack. That corn will more than likely destroy the mill. I hope that this helps!
