Homebrewers are at it again - eschewing stylistic rigidity and pushing against the boundaries of what beer can be. Lately, adding liquor to beer has been catching on in a big way. The only reason the big guys aren’t doing this right now is that they can’t! Cause it’s against the law! Skirtin’ the law - just one more reason why it’s great to be a homebrewer! This beer can be fermented at lager temperatures or at warmer ale temperatures like a California Common. With a balanced bitterness, rich gold color, and a crisp clean flavor to let the sweet grainy goodness of a fine unaged whiskey shine through, this unique take on the American Lager is ready to take on whatever you can throw at it. It’ll let the spirit of your spirit express itself while also being substantial enough to stand up to heartier fare - beer cocktails anybody? This beer will make the best damn Michelada you’ve ever had. You haven't chased a Bloody Mary until you’ve chased it with a little Moonshine Malt Liquor!

Great beer Review by Gary
I brewing this beer a year ago and it turned out fantastic. I used 12 oz. of moonshine in mine. When I first tasted the beer it didn't have much of a taste due to not much hops used or different malts, but I added a slice of lemon and this beer tasted awesome. I hope this helps and enjoy. Very subtle yet tastes great Review by Rex
Great beer and easy to brew. I used real Arkansas Moonshine (8 oz) After smelling the Moonshine i was very hesitant to add that much. Upon finishing 3 months after the brew the flavor is so crisp and clean. The flavor has a bit of a white wine taste to it(not a wine expert). Its so good even my mother will have one. Didnt know what to expect Review by Alex
This beer turned out very well. I would recommend a few months of bottle aging for the flavors to really blend together. I used real moonshine and was very pleased with the end result. Everyone that has tried it loves it and are very suprised when I tell them whats in it. (Posted on 11/15/13)
One of the best beers Review by Nicole
Brewing is easy, and the taste is fantastic. Northern Brewer did a great job at putting this kit together! Defiantly one I would brew again. (Posted on 11/4/13)
Great beer combination Review by Jim
This is our 5th beer kit and is my favorite. The whiskey comes through in a subtle way and enhances the beer. Family members have asked us to brew this again. It will be a regular brew at our house (Posted on 10/5/13)
