Brewing beer is fun and easy; if you can make mac ‘n cheese from a box without help, you can make beer.
Success, so the saying goes, is 90% preparation and 10% inspiration, and so it is with beer. Brewing beer involves boiling malt, hops and water to create a grainy, sugary liquid called "wort." Next, we add yeast to the wort, allow for time to pass and we have flat, warm beer. Helpful tip: brewers make wort, yeast makes beer.
Finally, we mix this warm, flat beer with a bit of sugar and bottle it, which will result in carbonated beer after a week or two.
If you've never brewed before, or if you currently have no brewing equipment or ingredients, we would recommend purchasing one of the three starter kits listed below. They include everything you need to start your homebrewing journey!
