29mm Gold Crowns 100 count
Fits some Belgian bottles and Champagne bottles that use a larger, 29mm crown cap. In order to crimp these caps, you will need a 29 mm bell housing for your capper.
These caps work well with my big Corsendonk and Omengang bottles.
These things are fantastic. You put them on top of the bottle, and then lock them into place. After that, they stay in place. Previously, I was having trouble moving cases of beer. The beer kept spilling out, making the bottles dirty and ruining the cardboard. With these little widgets I get no more spilling. Further, the bottles I use these babies on have developed little bubbles in them, which is quite pleasant. I would give this product 5 starts, but it's hard to get the crowns off once they are in place. I have to use screwdriver or pliers, and sometimes the bottle ends up breaking.
They are nice looking, but don't work as well on twist cap type recycled bottles.
I started brewing about 3 months ago and decided to bottle in Belgian 750 mL bottles (mostly from the Dupont brewery) since I had quite few on hand and a friend gave be a couple of cases of empties--so far I have had great luck, no leaks, carbonating fine and work ok with the red baron capper and the 29 mm bell. Tend to stick a bit, but that is probably my heavy hand.
