It holds 5 gallons and can get liquids hot

Long story short I needed capacity without breaking the bank, and settled on this. If you're in the same boat, go for it, don't read further. If you're willing to spend some more money? Read on.

I was honestly worried my power burner would put a hole in the bottom of this thing, it's that thin. It has the "oil canning" condition where it crimps and makes a ton of noise at the slightest touch, which means it also moves a considerable amount when heating. The people who have said that it seems like the lid is going to jump off while a boil is going on are absolutely correct, that was my experience as well. The biggest two redemption features are the fact that it has a lid and a lip for easy pouring. Otherwise I would honestly spend a bit more to get something with thicker walls, thicker bottom, and maybe a gauge. Giving a 4/5 for the fact that it 1) holds liquid 2) has a lid and lip for pouring and 3) It operates exactly as advertised, no more no less. Only knocking off a star for the oil canning which gets pretty annoying during heating/cooling cycles.

5 Gallon Brew kettle

Works awesome and really affordable. Just wish it had a hole in the lid for a thermometer. Thought it being thin would be an issue but 10 uses later still holding together great.
