This is mainly a customer service and packaging review. I thought I was being smart by ordering my bottles early. What would have been really smart was to open it as soon as I got it. Instead, I opened it on bottling day and found that instead of getting the 2 x 750 ml Belgian-style Beer Bottles - Crown Finish - Case of 12 I ordered, I actually had 2 x 750 ml Belgian-style Beer Bottles - Cork Finish - Case of 12. Even though the packing slip and all emails said crown. Upon seeing the order issue I notified Northern Brewer. They got back with me in 3-4 days and said they would send me what I ordered. And they did, or at least half of what I ordered. Then I had to send another email, and then wait another 3-4 days to be told they would send the rest. Back to bottling day I tried to find some way to save my batch. I ended up putting it into some Corona bottles and a few Gerolsteiner bottles. Half of it that is. The other 7.5 liters went down the drain. Cue 4.5 weeks later when I can try my beer I find it has exploded into shards and glass dust. Except for 1 bottle and the 3 Gerolsteiner plastic bottles. (Those are really tough bottles, highly recommend). Anyways. Be sure you have the right stuff before you even start brewing. You may lose a lot of beer if not. I have another batch going with the correct bottles and will see how they handle the pressure.
