This is a mix of citric, malic, and tartaric acid. One teaspoon per gallon increases acidity by 0.1%
As usual my order was shipped promptly and was what I ordered. I’m very pleased with this company.
Generic acid taste. I used it in Cider. Not bad for rounding out a cider flavor profile. If you're looking for a specific acid flavor, do some research and buy a specific acid.
The real reason I bought this was to use in cider for a little tartness. I had tried pitching yeast in cider without sterilizing with Campden tabs to allow the wild microorganisms to make some organic acids. It worked but there were off-flavors and I suspect reproducability would be an issue. My cider's not ready yet so I used a little bit, mixed with sugar, to coat some candy I made. It worked but, if you do that, take it easy, a little goes a long way.
