American Amber Ale Extract Beer Recipe Kit
One of the few styles that American brewers can legitimately call their own. This classic beer brings together brisk hop flavor and a coppery golden color to make a refreshing pint that is still flavorful enough to enjoy year-round. Our American Amber features a firm malty base supporting assertive American hops, a reddish-amber hue and a lingering off-white head of foam. Not quite a pale ale and not quite a brown, this well-balanced beer has a smooth and versatile flavor that youl want to come back to again and again. Try pairing this ale with anything from pizza to seafood.

I can't remember how many times I have ordered and brewed this one but I change it slightly every time. This time I added a half ounce of Chinook hops for the entire boil and also a small amount of honey about 10 minutes left. I dry hopped for 2 weeks with 1 oz. of US Brewer's Gold and then bottled. I love IPA's and this one is a hoppier version of a great Amber. A slight bite but over all, excellent. IBU's maybe around 60 or so. I find it very pleasing and malty.
This is a great, easy recipe! The final product was a quality beer with nice caramel notes. The beer is a little too hoppy for my taste, but would definitely try this recipe again by cutting down on some of the hops.
Hoppier than expected, but really nice to drink. Got better with age. Two weeks in primary, then right to keg. Would let it go longer next time.
Having brewed well over 100 batches of home brew recipes, is beer is About as perfect As it gets! It rides the fence between a cream ale, and an IPA, without being overly hoppy, but not under hopped and boring, like so many ambers. It has a nice gentle malty character, that’s balanced with a nice bittering , but not at all harsh. I keep this on tap in my Keezer as it’s a great everyday selection. Easily drinkable, but interesting on the palate. Highly recommended.
we received the kit and everything was just as it was stated in the web page. As this was our first after a couple years off, we were a little intimidated. But, with instructions in hand we forged on and created our first brewlicious concoction and yes I t is total yummo! Thanks NB for a fun adventure back into brewing.
