American Amber Ale Extract Beer Recipe Kit
One of the few styles that American brewers can legitimately call their own. This classic beer brings together brisk hop flavor and a coppery golden color to make a refreshing pint that is still flavorful enough to enjoy year-round. Our American Amber features a firm malty base supporting assertive American hops, a reddish-amber hue and a lingering off-white head of foam. Not quite a pale ale and not quite a brown, this well-balanced beer has a smooth and versatile flavor that youl want to come back to again and again. Try pairing this ale with anything from pizza to seafood.

Profile came out a bit lighter than I'd like, but overall flavor was pretty great. I did this one with wet Cascade hops and ended up with a bit of a hoppier taste than your typical Amber, but still a solid beer
Steeped the grains for 30 minutes but basically followed the recipe otherwise. Used Imperial 07 yeast and fermented at 62 degrees for one week, 65 for another and then bottled directly from primary. Two weeks in the bottle and things are great. Due to the relatively late hop addition, the beer has a real nice hop flavor. Mine came out at 4.2% abv so it resembles a session ale. This will certainly go into the regular rotation.
Nice flaver and perfect amount of hopes very easy to make
One of my favorites hands down. Would make it again
The kit was fine as usual. I've brewed approx 30 extract kits from NB since '06, but this was my 1st since '14. I had problems with the Wyeast smack-packs. They arrived slightly enlarged. (Same problem in '14). One was so enlarged that I could not 'smack' without rupturing the outer jacket. So I purchased Safeale from another supplier to add to the wort. Will probably not trust Wyeast anymore.
