Apollo hops are an ideal ingredient in pale ales, extra pale ales, and IPAs. They keep fresh for a long time - so stock up and store for future brew sessions.

With a typical alpha of 18-21%, this US grown super high alpha hop has very strong bittering capabilities and an intense, pungent citrus peel aroma.

This is the first time I've used Apollo hops. I read about people thinking they smelled a little funky like onion (which I love in hop aroma) and they didn't disappoint! I used them to bitter (super smooth bittering), whirlpool (great flavor and aroma), and double dry hop (very pungent, dank, oniony goodness!).

Added at the start of the boil - gave a great deal of bitterness at initial tasting (end of boil). Great aroma upon opening package. Added an additional ounce at end of boil for aroma. Still in secondary, but aromas at transfer were good. Looking forward to this one.
