Very good grain but honestly you really can’t review a specialty grain, it’s only 4-6oz of a 12 lb grain bill.
I use about 6 oz for a 5 gal batch of Belgium Triple.
Opened the package and the aroma was fantastic. I hope it carries that complexity into the final product. Added a bit to a wheat ale for added depth.
Just a little bit of aromatic malt gave a new twist to one of my hefeweizens along with some specialty malts and now its my favorite recipe. I will brew this one many times. Brewdog333
I had the opportunity to try my first all grain Belgian Triple last night which included Dingemans Aromatic Malt. The recipe was a mixture of several grains and this ingredient from my memory may have consisted of about a 25% of the grain mixture. The scent is indeed wonderful and really smoothes out the taste of the beer. Typically I have made beers that are very hoppy. This was not the case with the Belgian Triple. Yes, there are hops in the recipe but I found them to complement the taste of the grains rather than overwhelm the grains. I can't wait to use this product again.
