Note: Big Mouth Bubbler® fermenter is not included.
The Depth Charge® is a great addition to the Big Mouth Bubbler® arsenal. And it's designed for both plastic and glass.
The unique design allows the mesh basket to be removed at any time, perfect for creating a custom flavor schedule and the removal of nearly all trub material before racking. Never worry about floating specks in your bottles or clogged keg dip tubes ever again. A custom punch-down tool enables regular agitation of the flavorings and helps squeeze every tasty drop from the infuser, without disturbing the rest of the batch. Less wasted beer and wine. More flavor and experimentation. Any infusion you can think of.

I've used the depth charge 3 times already in the short time I've had it and it has worked perfectly each time. It even doubles as a hop spider during a boil if you're like me and don't want to buy a separate piece of equipment for a big price tag. I've had no issues rinsing it clean. Just tip upside down, knock out the trub, and run under the faucet soon after removing it from the fermentor/kettle. I would recommend this to anyone with a big mouth bubbler who wants an easy way to dry hop without sacrificing their yield to trub.
I used it for a secondary fermenter didn’t use the depth charge yet. Don’t have a beer that calls for any dry hopping yet. Still new at this
The depth charge is great for dry-hopping and additives such as oak cubes and purees. It's also great for helping with aeration before fermentation, you can run the plunger up and down several times to help out. It's also very easy to clean, and what's not great about that.
Works okay and it is nice to have the 6.5 gallon capacity but I still prefer glass
Awesome product. It’s the perfect item for dry hop additions.
