Unleash an explosion of flavors with the Depth Charge® Stainless Steel Infuser (Patent Pending) for Big Mouth Bubbler®. Easy to clean and sanitize, the stainless steel mesh delivers a blast of dry hops, fruit, oak chips, or spices directly into your beer or wine while minimizing the mess. Easily control flavorings to maximize their punch, without the risk of over-extraction.

Note: Big Mouth Bubbler® fermenter is not included.

The Depth Charge® is a great addition to the Big Mouth Bubbler® arsenal. And it's designed for both plastic and glass.

The unique design allows the mesh basket to be removed at any time, perfect for creating a custom flavor schedule and the removal of nearly all trub material before racking. Never worry about floating specks in your bottles or clogged keg dip tubes ever again. A custom punch-down tool enables regular agitation of the flavorings and helps squeeze every tasty drop from the infuser, without disturbing the rest of the batch. Less wasted beer and wine. More flavor and experimentation. Any infusion you can think of.

Drop the Depth Charge into your next batch.

Depth Charge is awesome!

My Depth Charge is great for brewing beer without all the sediment I used to get without it. In addition to being great for adding hops, I also use it to filter the wort when I transfer it to my Big Mouthe Bubbler Fermenter. I highly recommend it!

Best Thing Ever

I would have reviewed sooner, but I wanted to use it first.

Best thing ever. I purchase this to help with dry hopping and a big mouth Syphon-less car boy. The first batch I made with them was the "Ace of Spades" Black IPA. The clarity from using that with the syphon-less big mouth car Boy "What a difference in clarity". It tastes awesome. I am now using it on my Dead Ringer which I will be bottling this weekend.

This thing is huge and can hold a lot of hops. Once you use this you will never go back.

Good fermentator

Good fermentator and dry hop system. The hauler needs a little improvement to fit better but I would buy again.

Depth Charge/Dry Hop Filter works so well

I’ve used my depth charge several times and am so happy I have it. First used it to pour from kettle to carboy. Helped SO much to filter out trub. After primary, just a nice layer of yeast at bottom. Racking to secondary was a breeze. Have 6.5 and 5 gallon Big Mouth Bubbler’s, both with spigots, so transfer is fast, easy and so so clean.

Dry hopping is much nicer too. Allowed hops to sit for 5-7 days, then mashed them out after that and removed depth charge. Notably less debris in carboy.

My yield has gone up as well, since I have less loss when transferring from kettle and primary. Had over 5 gallons after transfer. Adding just 1oz of hops (pellets) to depth charge in secondary, ended up with minimal head room (couple of inches) in 5 gallon bubbler, so that creates a concern for large dry hop adds. For those, I may opt to use a second 6.5 for secondary or just use the 6.5 bubbler for the entire fermentation.

Depth charge is easy to clean and sturdy, if you are careful. I run it upside down under running water and have no problem removing all debris. Cleaning after the kettle pour took a little longer than the dry hop adds, but not unnecessarily so.
