Black IPA 1 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit
An ebony pint with a beige head is surrounded by an aromatic citrus-and-pine force field, backed by a smooth roastiness redolent of cocoa and French roast coffee.
Your inner cynic says: "Wait, wait ... isn't this just an Imperial Stout?" Well, let's answer your inner cynic question with another question: "Isn't a Dunkelweizen just a darker, maltier Hefeweizen?" The answer is both yes and no. There you go, inner cynic.
Incubated in West Coast craft breweries and brewpubs (the same folks who brought you American Pale Ale, American Amber Ale, and Imperial IPA; they weren't always established styles, either!), these hefty concoctions throw all pretense at subtlety right out the window.
Full-bodied, hop-bitter, and boozy, this beer is compelling enough to both fuel and quash the argument of its stylistic integrity, and it goes great with a blue-cheese stuffed sirloin burger or steak.

Took a flyer on this 1 gallon kit and couldn't have been more pleased. I'll definitely be making full batch sometime down the road. It's crisp and hoppy with just a little of that stout taste to it.
This kit was simple to brew and yielded a great BIPA
An easy straight-forward recipe kit that makes a good Black IPA. My 3 taste testers all agreed this was really good and worthy of a repeat. Have another 1 gallon kit and a 5 gallon Ace of Spades kit waiting in the wings.
I had a great day of brewing. The final product was a little below average. Didn't produce anywhere near 12 bottles and beer ended up flat. Taste wasn't bad though. Just gonna have to try again.....
