Works very well

Used this kit to replace an old BIAB bag I previously had. Works like a charm. The release mechanism is finicky to engage, but I blame my inexperience. Having the fully system is such a back saver!

Great entry into All Grain from Extract brewing

The kit was just as described and for me a great entry into All Grain brewing. I've just bottled my first batch (Fruit Bazooka NEIPA) and the color and aroma are much superior to what I obtained from the same Extract recipe kit.

I used a setup that I saw somewhere online with my Little Giant ladder and an I-Bolt with a 2X4 to support the hoist. The Brew bag was great and fit my 10 gallon kettle with ample room for the grain bill and room to stir and easily connect to the pully.

I'm looking forward to additional batches and the freedom to experiment that were not really possible using extracts. It would be nice if I could get the grains double crushed as from my reading that would help with the efficiency; the only issue I had was being slightly low on the starting gravity so I added a few cups of DME pre boil to hit the target post boil OG.

BIAB kit

It’s a well thought out kit. I’ve used it 3 times so far. It takes a little longer than extract kits, because of the grain steeping part. Other than that, it’s not really any more complicated than extract brewing.
