Northern Brewer's Briess Sparkling Amber Malt Extract Syrup is composed of pale malt with caramel 60 for a grainy caramel sweetness and Munich malt for increased complexity and fullness.

An excellent choice for beers that depend on rich malt flavors. Provides a solid base for Amber Ales, Bocks, Scottish beers, Brown Ales, and more. Approximately 10.0º Lovibond and 1.036 ppg. Our malt jugs are made from BPA-free plastic.

I use this malt syrup in my bagel doughs and boil. It lends a great depth of flavor and appealing color to the finished product.

Was shipped fast. I use it in several styles of beer. I add roasted grains to adjust the color and body.

Due to time constraints the LME options are the answer. Amber provides a great base for the darker brews-especially in the pumpkin season.

A sticky situation

Everything came as ordered, but there was a bit of a sticky wicket. The lme apparently decided to coat everything else in the box with goo, making for a sticky brew day.
I have ordered often from Northern Brewer, and never had this happen before. Still, I may stick to DME in the future.
