Product details

The copper brother to our customer favorite Silver Serpent®, the sleek Copperhead® 25-foot copper immersion wort chiller is the fast way to cool your wort to pitching temps! Drop-angle connections prevent the tubing from kinking and potential leaks from dripping into your kettle. Make your brew day easier and faster, allowing you to effortlessly brew better beer. Comes fully assembled with tubing, barbed fittings, and hose clamps.

Quickly cool your wort down to yeast pitching temperature and reduce the chance of contamination. All copper coil construction is easy to clean and will conduct heat better than other metals.

No need to sanitize. Simply drop your clean chiller into the kettle a few minutes before the end of the boil and it will be ready to go.

Brew with peace of mind like never before. Drop-angle connections provide insurance against contamination. Surprise leaks stay outside your kettle and away from cooling wort.

Ensure secure tubing with proprietary barbed fittings. Eradicate shooting streams of water that make a mess in your brew cave. Do away with ill-fitting hose clamps on mis-shapen chiller connections.

My first Immersion Chiller - so far like magic

It only took 5-7 minutes to cool my wort down to 100 deg.. VERY impressed. Wife is happy that the freezer isn't full of ice packs any more. Just wish they included the sink adapter.

For want of a connector the Copperhead was a waste

Have used this once so far. Had a problem right out of the box in that the sink faucet adapter I purchased with the chiller would not fit the sink that we have and I was unable to find any adapter to fit the fittings together in time for a brew day. This meant running water to the chiller from an external faucet through a hose laid across the kitchen floor to a sink where I could be sure to catch any leaks. Given the timing (early summer) the water flowing through the chiller wasn't exceptionally cold and the chiller's efficiency was less than amazing. It took more than 25 minutes to bring the wort down to temperature for pitching yeast, which wasn't really much faster than when I've used an ice bath. Running a hose through the house from an external faucet won't be possible during the fall/winter months, so the Copperhead was a waste for me due to incompatibilities with the faucet near my brewing space. I wish Northern Brewer had specified the connecting pieces' thread diameters.
