Product details

The copper brother to our customer favorite Silver Serpent®, the sleek Copperhead® 25-foot copper immersion wort chiller is the fast way to cool your wort to pitching temps! Drop-angle connections prevent the tubing from kinking and potential leaks from dripping into your kettle. Make your brew day easier and faster, allowing you to effortlessly brew better beer. Comes fully assembled with tubing, barbed fittings, and hose clamps.

Quickly cool your wort down to yeast pitching temperature and reduce the chance of contamination. All copper coil construction is easy to clean and will conduct heat better than other metals.

No need to sanitize. Simply drop your clean chiller into the kettle a few minutes before the end of the boil and it will be ready to go.

Brew with peace of mind like never before. Drop-angle connections provide insurance against contamination. Surprise leaks stay outside your kettle and away from cooling wort.

Ensure secure tubing with proprietary barbed fittings. Eradicate shooting streams of water that make a mess in your brew cave. Do away with ill-fitting hose clamps on mis-shapen chiller connections.

Excellent chiller for use in Anvil Foundry

I use this chiller in my Anvil Foundry 6.5, fits perfect and does a great job of cooling the wort down quickly. I can usually go from boiling to near pitching in about 10 mins. Make sure the cooling water feels HOT coming out of the chiller, otherwise reduce the flow rate of the water. This will increase the heat transfer capability of the chiller.

Works great

Chills wort quickly as long as the water going in is cold enough.

Worked Great

Was able to get a 4 gallon brew to 68° in less time than it had previously taken me to get a 2 gallon batch to temperate with an ice bath in the sink.

Fully assembled. No leaks. Was able to screw my hose right into it. Probably would need some sort of an adapter to use it with a kitchen sink faucet.

Question

While Northern Brewing has a record of outstanding quality and customer service, my question is this;
How to use a wort chiller without air contamination of the wort?

Super Efficient

I bought this because I was tired of ice baths. This things worked phenomenally. Hooked it up to my outdoor hose and it cooled the wort in 5-10 minutes. Make sure you know how to use it though, you could accidentally burn yourself if you're not careful with the water exiting the chiller.
