Czech Pilsner Extract Beer Recipe Kit
If we had to pick just one style that embodies everything a beer should be, Czech Pilsner might be it: this lager showcases both malt and hops but allows some expression of yeast character; mellow enough to drink a few half-liters but technical enough to demand care in brewing.
Clear, deep golden color, foamy white head, medium-full body with caramelly malt and spicy hop character, firm bitterness giving way to a soft finish. Recommended: 2-stage cold fermentation and yeast starter.

The base is a 4 star. It was a little dull so I dry hopped with an ounce of Citra. That was pretty good..... thank GAWD I only hit it with a 1/4 oz of Centennial. I’d advise people that the Citra worked............
It is real beer , not that excuse for beer that they call ale.
Straight forward easy to fliw
Brewed this 2 weeks in primary about 55 F, 4 weeks in secondary at 37 F. Bottle conditioned for 2 weeks, it was OK but still a bit flat. Waited another few weeks, it was great.
After 6 weeks in bottle, this has become a delicious beer with good hops aroma. Definitely would brew again. Next time, I will use a bit of gelatin to clear the haze.
I love this style, so as usual I jumped the gun and had a couple 2 weeks after bottling. It was just okay. I left it alone for several weeks and now it is excellent. I would put this in my top 5 kits along with Obi-Won and La Petite Orange.
