Product details

If we had to pick just one style that embodies everything a beer should be, Czech Pilsner might be it: this lager showcases both malt and hops but allows some expression of yeast character; mellow enough to drink a few half-liters but technical enough to demand care in brewing.

Clear, deep golden color, foamy white head, medium-full body with caramelly malt and spicy hop character, firm bitterness giving way to a soft finish.

Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

Nice brew!

Easy to brew but a long lagering time. Smooth, easy drinking beer. Better than the imports!

Good extract kit for style. Very smooth crisp finish and well balanced.

Have not brewed yet. I don’t have equipment to keep the temperature low enough. However, in Montana, it soon will be winter and low temperatures are not an issue. Will have to wait until the end of October. No matter, every beer kit I have brewed in the past has been great.

It was my first attempt at a larger. I seemed to do many things wrong while brewing this beer. I live in Florida so when I received the liquid yeast in the mail it was hot. Also my initial fermentation temperatures were higher than recommended. I aged the secondary fermentation in a refrigerator that had a slightly higher temperature that the recommendation. All an all it took 8 weeks before it was ready to drink.
The beer exceeded all of my expectations. The color, smell and flavor were outstanding. This kit produced a great bear.

Great flavor, reminds me of Pilsner Urquell, my fav.

Great flavor, reminds me of Pilsner Urquell, my fav.

Perhaps, you guys can advise about taking specific gravity at the brewpoint. Do I need to let the wort settle before i take initial specific gravity reading?
