adds great color & spice notes
This is an excellent malt, it imparts tones of caramel and toffee and of course that special licorice-ish like flavor of rye, but better. I use this in my Red Rye IPA and absolutely love it.
small amount adds a little sumpthing to an ipa or pale, use a little more in a brown or strout for increased depth of character
I've used this in the past from Roggenbier to stouts. If you want that little extra special something, give this a try. You will not be disappointed.
I use this in a Rye IPA to counter the dryness / woody-ness of The typical rye. Fashioned after Adnams Ghost Ship. I'm not a fan of Rye beers, but this IPA is one of my favorite all-time beers that I make.
