Product details

4° L. There are not many malt companies that produce an oat malt, we know of only Thomas Fawcett and Sons. We love oat malt for the texture and warm, grainy flavor that it adds to stouts, porters, other robust British ales.

Worked great in my NEIPA

Used 50% in a NEIPA recipe and it worked great. Kernel size is large for a malted oat, however you still need to adjust your mill a bit tighter by about .05mm. I find that conditioning does not provide as much benefit as with malt, but can’t hurt.

Fawcett English Oat Malt...

I ordered crushed... but it was only partially milled with a large quantity of oats intact.

Awesome for Extract NE IPA

Worked great to get the look and mouthfeel of a hazy IPA in an extract recipe.
