Galena hops have an excellent high-alpha, making them an ideal bittering hop for American and English beers.

Typical alpha: 12.0-14.0%. Galena is fruity, slightly citrusy and spicy; the perfect ingredient for home brewed ale, porter, stout, ESB, and bitter beers.

Solid Bittering Hop

I just use for bittering, it has a decently high %AA and is fairly neutral in flavor. Other hops probably work as well, but this is my go-to.

Galena Hops Oldy but goody

Galena hops have been around for a long time I still find them to be one of the best bittering hops. A clean bittering that enhances the aroma hops used with them.
