Product details

Gold with Black Grapes PVC Foil Capsules give your wine bottles a clean, professional look. These capsules will shrink when you dip them in boiling water, hold them over the steam of a tea kettle, or blow on them with a hair dryer. Make sure to be careful when shrinking the capsules to the bottle.

Note: The capsules fit standard wine bottles, and will not work for wine bottles with a flanged top.

Exaactly What I Ordered

The PVC shrink capsule were perfect. The color matched the on line photo. They were delivered well ahead of the bottling phase and the price was very competitive.

capping

A very good and fast way to shrink the caps onto the bottle is to dip the capped neck of the bottle quickly into boiling water. it produces a tight & smooth fit and they stay tight for years.

PVC Shrink Capsules

They add a finished look to your bottles. Used a paint stripper as the heat source and finished 28 bottles very quickly. Looks nice & can now identify different wines by the color of the caps, (I don't use labels unless I'm giving away as a gift, saves work on bottle cleanup). Definitely will buy more when I run low.

Nice way to finish off bottling

These heat shrink cork covers provide a very nice finished look to home bottled wine. Available in enough colors to allow color coding batches.

PVC shrinking

Works good - read this for my lessons learned. Hot air dryer was too slow (and loud) and boiling water too fast and over shrank and split the first couple. My best bet was to get some water boiling and letting steam do the work. Slide it on and hold it then then place just the end of the bottle over the steam to get it to shrink over the lip which holds it tight. If you don't hold it in place it will slide up and be loose on the top. Once it shrinks over the lip then put the rest of the neck over the steam and rotate around. To get it nice and tight dip just the top for a second or so.
