The perfect strain for multiple Belgian beer styles. Triple Double produces moderate esters with low to no phenolic characteristics. Triple Double is a true top cropping yeast which may result in a slower fermentation

First time user of Triple Double

I waited a bit for this yeast strain to get back in stock. This was the first time I used it in a Belgian Quad. I made a starter and it is a very active yeast. Boiled a little out of the flask. The yeast seemed to do great in the Quad. The end result has yet to be seen as this brew will sit until September but I was very happy with the performance and would certainly try it again. I love the fact it has 200 billion cells and a starter will make it even better.

Best Yeast

Imperial Yeast hit a homerun with this. Made a Belgain Tripel and I believe I have found my favorite style to make. Along with a yeast starter, made the beer 10.8 ABV. YUM

Belgian IPA

I’ve used this yeast for 2 iterations of my Belgian-inspired, single malt single hop IPA and I will have a hard time deviating next batch.

B48 trip/dub

I bought a Belgian Double extract kit from a different supplier and they did not offer a good Belgian yeast, so I ordered some B48 and made a starter. Hold on to your ass because the fermentation is like a rocket. Don't use an air lock, run a tube into a pan with Sanstar. Krausen everywhere. The taste is excellent, I will buy this again any time I make Belgian. As usual NB is a quality supplier. Cheers
