Product details

LalBrew® Verdant IPA was specially selected in collaboration with Verdant Brewing Co. (UK) for its ability to produce a variety of hop-forward and malty beers. Prominent notes of apricot and undertones of tropical fruit and citrus merge seamlessly with hop aromas. With medium-high attenuation, LalBrew® Verdant IPA leaves a soft and balanced malt profile with slightly more body than a typical American IPA yeast strain.

Verdant Brewing Co. values this strain as being unique and suitable for a broad range of IPAs. Moreover, several breweries around the world have conducted very successful pilot brewing trials with LalBrew® Verdant IPA. The availability of this yeast in a dry and stable form will give brewers great opportunities to create diversity in their IPAs.

  • Beer Styles: NEIPA, English IPA, American Pale, English Bitter, Sweet Stout and Sours
  • Aroma: Apricot, Tropical Fruit, Citrus
  • Fermentation Temperature Range: 64 - 73°F
  • Attenuation: Medium to High
  • Flocculation: Moderate
  • Alcohol Tolerance: 10% ABV

Verdant IPA yeast

I really like this yeast for NEIPA’s. I was using the New England East Coast but like the speed of this one

Pretty awesome

Made a fort george suicide squeeze clone. Kept the ferment temps in the upper 50's
Took a good 3 weeks in primary, and 2 weeks in secondary at basement 65 degrees. Beer turned out magical, best beer i have made in 25 yrs. A nice mouthfeel, and the right amount of sweetness to compliment the mosiac dry hops. Would give it 10 stars if i could.

Verdant Yeast

Ordered this yeast as part of a larger order. It was delivered promptly and in good shape. Verdant is becoming my go to ale yeast for APA, IPA, and all British ales. A true top cropper and very reliable.

Good so far

Haven't kegged it yet, but the batch I made started fermenting the same day it was pitched, and the gravity samples taste good; bit of peach ester that is very pleasant. No issues getting down to a reasonable final gravity either. Some of the "grains" of yeast in the package were dark...haven't seen that before, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.
