Product details

Belgian-style blonde ale features generous malt profile and spicy yeast character with a modest gravity. The same generous malt profile and spicy yeast character of stronger Dubbels and Tripels, but its more modest gravity means you can enjoy a couple and remain upright and hard-working past Compline.
From the little-known Lutheran monasteries of northern Minnesota comes this artisanal Abbey beer. Pale, self-effacing, and easy to get along with, this Belgian-style blonde ale features the same generous malt profile and spicy yeast character of stronger Dubbels and Tripels, but its more modest gravity means you can enjoy a couple and remain upright and hard-working past Compline.

Nice Belgian Blonde Ale

Brewed 2x. Smooth with a bit of spice. 2 weeks primary, 2 weeks secondary, etc. Used priming sugar calc and the carbonation was fine. ABV about 5.2. 48 bottles. Highly recommend.

Lefse Blond

I actually tested the beer today, a full week before It is ready and if the taste is any indication of how it is going to turn out I am going to love this beer. Very light and smooth with no heavy hops flavor. It just might become my new favorite.

Turned out great

Tastes great, super easy to brew. I used the fizz drops as my priming sugar, and it was so easy and turned out incredibly well. I was a little disappointed at how easy the recipe was because I was hoping to have a difficult quarantine project!! Great reviews from all on how my batch turned out.

My Friends Like It

Very popular with the folks I've shared it with, but just wasn't my taste. So the 4-star rating is probably a little harsh, as it's more my fault for trying something new. One brewing day tip (although it's probably in the instructions and I read right past it), take the pot off the direct heat before adding the sugar. It caramelized, almost to that burnt-sugar smell, pretty quickly while pouring it in and stirring. However, I was pleased that the burnt-sugar taste didn't come through in the final product.
