I used a blend of Pelton and Metolius with a touch of Opal to make an Octoberfest (Marzen-style). Very tasty beer, but not much like a German beer. More like an American Amber,
I have taken an old favorite and tweaked it a few times. This go I used pelton and it may be the perfect grain/hop combination to make this beer a contender.
Good malt good consistent flavor
fantastic malt, and worth the extra $ if you have a good recipe. Its not a miracle and wont make a bad recipe good, but it is certainly a good choice if you want to take one of your older well vetted recipes to the next level.
Used this malt make German Pilsners and American Lager. A nice flavorfull malt.
