Pelton (pronounced - \pel·tin\) produces a complex, slightly grassy, and crisp wort which comes from the small terroir in Central Oregon where the Mecca Grade Estate family farm and malthouse is located. Mecca grows their unique heirloom variety of barley inside a 2 mile radius around their own malthouse. Inside their malthouse, their processing innovation of Mechanically Floor Malting producing a consistency and depth of flavor that creates a premium, artisan line of malts. 1.8°L

fantastic malt, and worth the extra $ if you have a good recipe. Its not a miracle and wont make a bad recipe good, but it is certainly a good choice if you want to take one of your older well vetted recipes to the next level.
Used this malt make German Pilsners and American Lager. A nice flavorfull malt.

Very impressed with Mecca Grade malts. The best Pilsner and Munich malt that I’ve found made in the US.
Finally gotta chance to try mecca grade malt.. well worth the $$!! So much more flavor than my usual (rahr. )Used this to make a pilsner and I couldn't ask for more. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!
