This kettle is exactly what I wanted! I am an extract brewer and boil on my stove. Any larger pot would not fit on stove or to wash in
sink. Glad I did not get the valve, racking is
fine with me and one less thing to clean/ that can leak. Also, I have my own thermometer
so glad I did not get that either. Heat conductivity is great. Pot is very well made. Great purchase.
Durable construction so I like it. I bought the 8 gallon but I would recommend just spending the extra money and go bigger in case you eventually get into all grain. Get one with the ball valve as well to make transferring easy. You can use the 8 gallon to boil a 5 gallon all grain batch but you will need a bigger pot if you ever want to switch to 10 gallons. Great product though.
My new brewing pot is great!! It is heavy duty and just the right size for the 5 gallon brew kits I use!!!
Has all the feature you’ll need. Silicon coating in handles, volume markings, tri-clad bottom. I’ve done two batches so far with it and it was worth the upgrade. No scorching and easy to clean. Highly recommend.
it is better made than the Tall Boy kettle.
