Mix-Stir - Stainless Steel
Mount on an electric hand drill to mix must, de-gas wine, or agitate lees. 22" long, stainless shaft with replaceable plastic blades. The collapsible wings make it easy to insert into and remove from a carboy.
Woks great, but will only go into carboy at certain angel-way and don't use drill on high speed. I use cloth in my hand to control shaft wobble, also don't have container to full because of whirlpool action of liquid being stirred will spill out liquid.
works great. degasses the wine in less time and much easier than stirring manually
Doesn’t hold in my drill, needs grooved
The only criticism that I have is that, for the price, I think the paddles could have been stainless steel, too. This would have made the degasser totally robust. There could be reasons, other than cost, that the paddles are nylon, but it is the only minor concern that I had about the long term durability of the product.
Works wonders to aerate wort for brewing beer and has increased my brewing efficiency. Also great for making liquid flow around wort chiller coil when cooling after boil; the plastic is not meant for boiling wort so let it cool below 180 degrees F or the paddles could soften and bend. Also keep an eye on the lock nut as it can be worked off after loits of use and that is not fun to get out of a carboy or bucket full of liquid.
