Northern Brewer White House Honey Ale 1 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit
An original recipe brewed by White House staff and shared with the world as a Northern Brewer kit. Built on a big foundation of malt with strong tones of biscuit and toffee, White House Honey Ale plays down hop bitterness and plays up the fruity and caramelly aspect of English malt and yeast.
A late addition of pure honey is the signature calling card of this recipe, imbuing a floral aroma and lightening the body. Ale to the chief!

The beer was a simple process with easy to follow instructions. Just brewed yesterday and appears to be fermenting as expected. The only issue I had was the amount of free floating hops made it difficult to siphon from the brew kettle to carboy. Was only able to pull 3/4 gallon yield and had to add water to make it to the gallon mark. Hoping that doesn't alter the taste of the finished product. The color and smell were very nice but afraid I won't get the bottle yield due to the amount of hops that were siphoned into the fermentor.
Complete all in one box kit with easy step by step instructions.
My wife not a beer drinker but she loves this one. Nice refreshing flavor.
went completely by the directions, taste and color came out how they should have. But, i dint get the head on the beer that i thought i would get (like none). Its only been 2 weeks in the bottle and i used the fizz drops. any thoughts?
I've been looking for a recipe kit to try as a 5 gallon. This is it! It may not be an true match but it just reminds me of old Watney's Red Barrel ... which I haven't had for over 30 years but as I said it "reminds me of" and that's all it takes.
