Product details

An ale strain isolated from a famous double IPA brewed in Vermont. Produces a unique ester profile reminiscent of peaches. This strain complements an aggressive use of hops. The ideal match for our Off the Topper kit or any other IPA or Double IPA recipe you can dream up.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Even better the second time I brewed it.

I brewed this recipe a few years ago and enjoyed it so I thought I’d give it a second try. It did not disappoint. Sweet and hoppy on the front end with an enjoyable dry finish. Whilst I don’t think The Alchemist should start worrying about my brewing technique this is a very close version of the original. I’d highly recommend it.

Mistake, my bad

I couldn’t predict the shipping date and arrival time. The yeast died at my P.O. Box no more liquid yeast in summer, as NB suggests.

Yeast was warm upon arrival

Not entirely NB's fault, but the yeast arrived warm. I even expedited the shipping. Used starter with mix plate. Beer was OK. Abv was low compared to recipe. Flavors were good though.
