Product details

Clean, crisp flavor characteristics with low fruitiness and mild ester production. A very versatile yeast for styles that desire dominant malt and hop character. This proven performer from California has become a very popular "house" strain. May yield citrus notes with cooler 60-66°F fermentations. Use for pale ales, IPA, cream ales, or other american styles.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Very good customer service

Order for Sierra Madre arrived on time and I got a very quick response to a question about the yeast. I will be ordering again. Getting ready to bottle soon. Beer looks great and can’t wait.

Sierra Madre

This is the first time brewing this beer. The kit was complete, and the directions, for the most part were clear. The one thing I do for all the beers I brew is to sparge the grains w/1/2 gal. of 150 degree water before bringing it to boil. The other step I saw missing was at the end just before bottling. I always take a final gravity reading prior to adding the corn sugar. Hope this is helpful.
