Product details

A true top cropping British strain used in the production of beers featruing an upfront malt and hop profile. This yeast will finish slightly sweet with a mild fruitiness. Reliably flocculent, this strain will produce bright beers with minimal aging. A perfect choice for Scottish ales, bitters, English brown ales and stouts.

*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs will all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.

Worth the price and active even when others are not!

I am not always a fan of liquid yeast. Not that they are not excellent cultures but mostly is not getting shipment quick enough to keep them viable. This is the 3rd time I have used Omega and each time I have had excellent results even after getting them to my door after a week long shipment. Each time the culture started fermenting within 24 hours and was very active. The flavor of the various cultures is excellent and some of the best I have tried in my nearly 30 years of home brewing. Highly recommend the price is worth the end result!

Took Off Fast!

I’ve never had a beer blow through the blowoff tube ever before, let alone continue to do it after changing out the water. I made a NEIPA with a 1.6L starter with this and it absolutely went wild! Beer came out great, too.

Classic Yeast With Multiple Uses

Great for NEIPA, Great for Bitters, and great for dark beers as well. All around great house yeast.

My go to yeast for robust porters

High flocculator so leaves a decent body on the beer w/o being cloyingly sweet. Not a lot of fruity esters although I used a lot of darker malts so might be covering those up. Common British attenuator at medium.
