Product details

This complex and hoppy brew will help you to navigate the doldrums of seemingly never ending winters. Developed with the pioneering spirit of American brewers, this White IPA recipe melds old world tradition with the hoppy boldness of an American IPA.

At first glance this beer is as white as a frozen tundra, but upon closer scrutiny, tall drifts of American hop flavor and aromas abound. A traditional witbier grain bill and yeast strain coupled with West Coast American hops yields a wonderfully complex India White Ale beer kit. A slight spice and tartness from the yeast intermingling with citrus notes from abundant hop additions compliment the silky smooth body created by flaked oats and unmalted wheat. Stay frosty my friends!

So far so good

Kits arrived quickly and had all the ingredients, instructions, etc. The only point that was a negative was that it did not come with the sanitizer which my first kit did (it was a starter kit). Ordered sanitizer and I have it for the future.

This is one of my favorite kits you sell. I have made this kit at least 3 times and will buy it again.

This beer came out a lot darker than I anticipated for an India white ale. Also I found that it had a very onion/ garlic taste that I assume came from the summit hop. I think if I did this beer again I would switch the bittering charge to Chinook hops.

Really delicious!

Very tasty beer -- I used WL Belgian Wit yeast, which was delicious with the brew.

Only issue is that if you're doing an extract version, the color will be much deeper, so calling it a "white" IPA is only referring to the yeast, not the coloring. It certainly doesn't look like the photo.

Good beer

Loved this recipe! Good, lighter bodied IPA. Very balanced and easy to drink. Not as bitter as other IPAs, which makes it more approachable for people who aren't necessarily hop heads.
