I bought these to test the pH of mead. They're probably not as accurate as a meter, but they're pretty cheap. I think they provde a good picture of where the pH is at. Second batch of mead giving same readings as the first batch at start and finish.
I tried this out 2 times and thought, "Yea this is great" and then I had a problem. I tried using the strip and it gave me a high reading, I try a different strip and it gave me a low reading. One of them is wrong. IT should have given a low reading.
The product works as described.
Bought these to check pH of my Star San. Perfect for my needs.
I am actually use the PH strips for a quick way to test star san viability. The rule of thumb is a PH value of 3,5 or less the star san should be good if you are keeping it in a container or spray bottle.
