Regulator for Disposable Oxygen Cylinder
This adjustable regulator works with disposable oxygen cylinders, which can be found at hardware stores. Using pure oxygen is by far the most effective way to oxygenate your wort. Most brewers notice improved yeast health and attenuation after they switch to pure oxygen. The regulator has a 3/16" barb; it is recommended to use 3/16" beverage tubing (K052) and a #1 worm gear clamp (K124) to connect the tubing. Commonly used with a 0.5 micron carb stone.

Product works as advertised. I recommend it. My only wish is that there was more resistance on the regulator. But that is minor. A clear improvement of wort aeration was immediately evident and resulted in much less foaming than 20 minutes with the aquarium pump I had been using. And the brew day time savings goes without saying.

This regulator works well, but it is unbelievably fragile. The end that attaches to the tank will very easily get bent if dropped and the threads on the same end will get worn quickly. My last one fell accidentally when I dropped it while taking down my brewing supplies from my shelf in my garage. 5 foot fall and done. That little tiny bend in the picture from the impact is all that was needed to ruin this one. I'm on my third regulator already because of its fragility. But pure O2 is very important for brewing. I guess you take the good with the bad. Wish they made these out of something much stronger.
I could not find any "food-grade" O2 that fits this regulator. This unit only attaches to 02 cylinders purchased at hardware stores in the plumbing section. Red 02 bottles have other gases that could be harmful? The O2 cylinders, alone, are about $10.00.
Also, only good for about 2 fermentations.
I went to professional compressed gas facility and secured a tank of food grade 02 in large cylinder and added a kettle valve as regulator for safer, more efficient, and cost effective alternative.
