The very pinnacle of craft winemaking, this RJS En Primeur Winery Series - Italian Super Tuscan Recipe Kit is the key to creating truly memorable, age-worthy wine from the world's very best ingredients.

Created in 1971, the Super Tuscan style blends the fine, dusty tannins and tart cherry of Tuscan-inspired reds with the bold, forward fruit and deeper grip of Bordeaux. Full-bodied and dry, with farm-fresh raspberries, bright red cherry and blackberry fruit, licorice, and spice complemented by zesty acidity, and a long, generous finish, rounded out with black pepper, vanilla, and sweet oak.

The acidity makes this a natural with tomato sauces and tannin tackles any rich or unctuous food. Try it with Tuscan-style pork roast, lamb shanks braised in herbed tomato sauce, or a wild mushroom lasagna.

The Super Tuscan is superb! I've made it 2x, and have one more to go. Family and friends give two thumbs up.

Super Tuscan in process

Because one of our wine books lists many different blends of wine for Super Tuscan I called Northern Brewer to verify the blend in the kit and received a straightforward answer. We have followed the instructions and are not rushing the bottling. Our plan, as with some other red wines, is that we will hold the wine for several years and then can give you a hopefully really good review. Thank you

Very good dry red wine. It is one of two or three dry wine kits we buy. Not cheap but very high quality. It is also much better if you let it age at least a year.

I have subscribed to Wine Maker Magazine sine 2000, and I bought this kit because it made the top 20 in the 2022 Winemaker competition. In fact I also bought another top 20 kit from NB. I’m guessing that any kit that made the top 100 would be a good choice.

I bought this kit a few years ago and decided to purchase another. It is worth waiting a few extra months to let it age as the flavors improve nicely.
