always good stuff from NB
I love this hop in my lighter colored beers (pales/goldens). Nice smooth finish for when I don't want a hoppy beer. I have also used it at 60 for an amber and a brown then thrown in fuggle at 10 or 20. I'm finding they pair nicely for my taste: a smooth (not bitter) feel from the Styrian Golding and little bite of earthiness from the fuggle at the end. Love it!
I used 3oz as a finishing hop in a Best Bitter, and am very happy with the results. Lovely floral notes. I also used them exclusively in a Belgian Blonde and a Kolsch, but have not tried the finished product yet, though taste was good at racking.
So, even though only 2.5% AA, I got to use an 8oz pack in three batches of different styles.
Nice but did not expect them to be 3.3% alpha. Every one that I’ve gotten in the past were 5%+
Perfect in my belgian golden strong ale.
