My first time brewing wine. Kits were easy to use and instructions were clear. Had a bit of a problem with one batch but Customer Support helped me out quickly and accurately. Very satisfied.
I’ve made this kit like 5 times. I usually get it from amazon. It’s decent. My only complaints would be that it’s a tad too sweet sometimes. Not enough grape juice to get to a full gallon without diluting it too much. Add water in increments whiffle checking gravity so you don’t dilute it too much. When back sweetening, add juice slowly and taste so it’s not too sweet. Patience. Always top off with a similar wine. I keep one bottle from previous batch to top off during clearing. Clearing stage requires racking twice. Once after day 7 and once more the day before bottleing. This really clears it up. Ages well in bottle. Ferment are 69 - 70 degrees trust me.
Shipping was excellent and speedy and the wine turned out really well. I've had issues with other wine kits in the clearing stage but this one cleared beautifully and I got many compliments.
This was my first attempt at making wine and I’ll have to admit it was one of most rewarding things I’ve done. I’d highly recommend this one for the beginner
This was my first attempt at making a wine. It came out pretty nice. Thank you Northern Brewer. Brewdog333
