This Winter Warmer starts big and malty with a full body and spicy English hop profile. The flavor is complex malt with fruit, burnt caramel, and subtle chocolate, finishing sweet with a warming alcohol note. Similar to our Wee Heavy and Barley Wine kits, the Winter Warmer increases in complexity with age. A bottle makes a great stocking stuffer!

Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

Not what I expected

This was something different I wanted to make. I usually do IPAs, so I figured I'd give this a try. 3 weeks on the fermentation and it is very smooth. Not at all hoppy but very mild. Nice when you need a simple not overpowering beer.

Delivery was fast as always. Easy beer to brew. Still in the fermenter for second fermentation for one more week. Will bottle on 5-4-24. I’m sure it will come out fabulous as all NB kits do.
