Winter Warmer Extract Beer Recipe Kit
Minnesotans know more about keeping warm than just about anybody in the world. Our secret? It's in the beer. This Winter Warmer starts big and malty with a full body and spicy English hop profile. The flavor is complex malt with fruit, burnt caramel, and subtle chocolate, finishing sweet with a warming alcohol note. Similar to our Wee Heavy and Barley Wine kits, the Winter Warmer increases in complexity with age. A bottle makes a great stocking stuffer!
Due to the high starting gravity of this kit, we recommend pitching multiple packs of yeast or preparing a yeast starter for best results.

Looks good, did a split batch - good taste out of fermenter, on hold for another week or so...
I followed the instructions which call for a whopping one month of secondary fermentation because it’s necessary to bring out all the flavors. And they were not wrong! Without coming with or adding my own supplementary spices it comes out slightly candied and spiced with a strong malty backbone.
Excellent flavor and easy to make. Made it to ABV of 7.3% with dry yeast.
This is my second batch--one I did last year. It came out great!
I had a half-bottle and opened it after having it sit on my kitchen table for a day--the resulting carbonation caused it to spray all over the kitchen walls, ceiling, fan, and floor. I immediately put most of the bottles in the refrigerator and they are WONDERFUL! A great beer for Christmas and New Year celebrations and also for the dark days of January!
I brewed this beer for the first time last year. Loved it so much I ordered two for this winter. This is a tasty dark beer that is great after a day on the slopes
