Great yeast

I've used this yeast on a previous stout and it worked great. This time the yeast was slow and died after the 1st day of fermentation. I think during shipping the yeast was stressed or something. When the package arrives the cold pack was barely cold. I immediately put the pack of yeast in the fridge and hope for the best. So to be fair, based on what I know from the 1st stout, it is a great yeast. Just didn't work out this time but I would still get it again.

Keep it simple

Irish ale. Can we get past Killians Red and Guinness? Yes! I brew a subtle and delightful Irish ale with Irish malts and some Maris Otter, maybe a little smoked or peated ale and wee bit of black for the obligatory color. A touch of hops, Goldings maybe. And voila! You've got a very nice Irish session ale. The Irish ale yeast locks it all in. Beautiful pour. And it's a crowd favorite.

Good yeast

This is my go to yeast for Irish Stout and Porter. This time I will be trying it for English Mild.

Wyeast Irish Ale Yeast

This is my favorite Irish Ale yeast! I've used it probably 30-40 times? since 2004. It's always consistent, and always gives predictable results. It's got a creamy smooth, and soft mouthfeel. I usually try to keep it between 65-70 degrees, and it always works well, I think you will be happy with the results!
